Your own front door, close to the village.

Laurel Cottage is our self-contained one-bedroom annexe behind our house in Odiham. The High Street, village pubs and Basingstoke Canal are all a few minutes' walk away. Inside, there's a double bedroom, a sofa bed, a proper kitchen with a Nespresso machine, a washer and dryer, a desk and fast Wi-Fi. It sleeps up to four, and you can bring up to two dogs.

People stay with us for weekends in the village, work at RAF Odiham or around Basingstoke and Farnborough, or to visit family nearby. You'll have your own gate and front door, and let yourself in with a keypad code. There's free street parking outside. We live right next door, so if you have a question or need a hand with anything, we're close by.

Dog friendly

Bring the dog. Or two.

The courtyard is fully enclosed, so your dog can have a sniff around while you sit outside with a coffee. There are dog bowls in the kitchen, too.

Our Yorkie, Daisy, lives next door, so your dog will need to be comfortable around other dogs.

For a walk, Yvonne recommends the Basingstoke Canal towpath. The Fox & Goose in the village welcomes dogs, too.

FAQ

Good to know

How does booking direct work?

Send us your dates, how many people are coming and whether you're bringing a dog. We'll check the calendar and get back to you with a quote. If you're happy to go ahead, we'll send you a secure card payment link. Once your payment has gone through, your booking is confirmed.

Can I arrive early or leave late?

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 11am. If you'd like a little extra time, just ask. We'll do our best to fit it around other guests.

How do I get in?

It's self check-in. We'll send you your keypad code and directions before you arrive.

Is there parking?

Yes, there's free street parking outside, but no parking on site. If you have an electric car, overnight charging is available on request and included in the price. Just let us know before you arrive.

Can four of us stay?

Yes. There's a double bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. Let us know when you book and we'll have the sofa bed made up for you.

Is there a cleaning fee or a fee for dogs?

No. Neither is charged.

Do you take a deposit?

For stays of 14 nights or more, we take a £150 refundable damage deposit. We'll send you a separate payment link for this and refund it within 7 days of check-out, provided everything's fine.

Is it accessible?

There are two steps down from the gate, followed by a level, lit path to the door. If you have any accessibility needs, please let us know and we'll do our best to help.

Will it be quiet?

The cottage is separate from our house, but we live next door with our two boys. You might occasionally hear them in the garden.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancel 14 or more days before check-in for a full refund. If you cancel between 7 and 14 days before check-in, we'll refund 50%. We can't offer a refund for cancellations within 7 days of check-in. You'll find the full details in our booking terms.
