Booking terms

These terms apply when you book Laurel Cottage in Odiham, Hampshire, directly with us, Adam & Yvonne Fairhead (referred to as "we" below). The cottage is a short walk from Odiham High Street. We'll send you the exact address and directions once you've booked. Please read these terms before you pay.

Your booking

Your booking is confirmed once we've accepted your dates in writing and your payment has gone through. The quote we give you is the full amount you'll pay, with nothing added at the end.
Once we've confirmed your dates, we'll send you a secure card payment link. Payments are processed through Stripe, using an account in Yvonne's name.
If you're arriving within 14 days, you'll pay in full when you book. If your arrival is further away, you'll pay 25% to secure your dates, with the balance due 14 days before arrival. Stays of a month or more are paid a month in advance.
The minimum stay is 2 nights. We don't accept same-day bookings.
Laurel Cottage is a holiday or short-term let. You have a licence to stay for the dates you've booked. This isn't a tenancy, including for longer stays.
As your booking is for specific dates, the 14-day cooling-off period under consumer law doesn't apply. The cancellation terms below apply instead.

Cancellations

Cancel 14 or more days before check-in and you'll receive a full refund.
Cancel between 7 and 14 days before check-in and you'll receive a 50% refund.
Cancel within 7 days of check-in and we can't offer a refund.
We don't refund no-shows.
If we ever have to cancel your booking, you'll receive a full refund.

To cancel, just email us. Refunds will go back to the card you paid with.

Damage deposit

For stays of 14 nights or more, we ask for a £150 refundable damage deposit. We'll send you a separate payment link for this. Provided everything's fine, we'll refund the deposit within 7 days of check-out. There's no deposit for shorter stays.

What's included

Fresh linen and towels, plus Wi-Fi.
EV charging is included in the price. The charger is on our drive and is available on request, overnight only. Please let us know before you arrive.
There are no cleaning fees or pet fees.

During your stay

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 11am.
We welcome up to 4 guests and 2 dogs. Dogs need to be comfortable around other dogs, as ours lives next door.
No smoking or vaping indoors.
No parties or events.
Please keep noise down after 10pm. We live next door, so thanks for being considerate neighbours.
Dogs are welcome, but please keep them off the beds.
Please let us know about any damage or breakages. You're responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear caused during your stay by you, your guests or your dogs.
